Our Program
The Super Scientist is a program to build confident little learners and to increase their growing curiosity about the world around them. The Super Scientist uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to focus on problem solving and creative thinking projects. Our hands-on learning approach enhances early brain development through exploration.

Attire
For a PreK-5th grade STEAM enrichment class, students should come dressed in comfortable, school-appropriate clothing that allows for easy movement and potential messes, as activities may involve hands-on projects and experiments. While lab coats, safety goggles, and other necessary safety equipment will be provided, wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty is a good idea. Closed-toe shoes are required to ensure safety during active tasks, and it's helpful for students to avoid wearing any overly loose clothing or long, dangling accessories that could get in the way.
Tuition and Policies
Tuition, class rules, and package options are school-specific; however, there is a one-time registration fee of $20 for all students. Payment for the first month or a year package is required before registration is completed. If choosing a monthly package, you will be billed on a monthly autopay. You may cancel autopay at any time. However, refunds are not given if a child is dismissed early by parent or by the Super Scientist staff. You can learn more about our registration process and policies here.
Meet the founder
Hey there! I’m Ms. Mary and I’m SUPER excited to welcome you to The Super Scientist.
I am the founder of The Super Scientist. I hold a Master’s degree in Education from the University of South Florida where I studied innovative practices in holistic education. My goal is to provide high quality education for our young learners. My belief is nurturing the whole child by providing opportunities to explore their natural curiosity through play-based learning.
My passion for education has given me the opportunity to teach in The Republic of Korea and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. While teaching in South Korea, I was awarded Top ESL Teacher by the nationwide private education franchise Reading Town. In Saudi Arabia, while working at Princess Nora University, my director appointed me to work with a local academy. It was there that I gained extensive insight into curriculum development and pedagogical leadership. In collaboration with both local and fellow ESL teachers, I created and implemented a summer TESOL program for children ages 4-12.
In 2012, My husband and I made the exciting decision to move to Tampa, Florida and begin planting our roots. I taught grades 6-8 at Webb Middle School. At Webb, my husband and I coached the girls’ soccer team. After nearly eight years of teaching, I made the decision to become a Stay-At-Home-Mom with our sons, Alexander and Colin. During my time as a SAHM, I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as President of The Westchase MOMS Club. The educator in me turned our home into a small preschool with hands-on learning activities and age appropriate experiments. Thanks to my boys, The Super Scientist was created.
My goal is to create a safe, fun, educational experience all while instilling love of life-long learning in your children. I hope your child will become a Super Scientist and join our adventures in STEAM!
